1st Birthday Contest

*CONTEST OVER*

Hi Everyone!

I have been planning this contest for several months now and it has FINALLY arrived. On August 28th, 2010, I wrote my very first blog. 3 people followed me instantly. Of course, they were my friends! Then I joined Romance Writers of America. The next day I had about 20 hits and several more followers. These were my chapter mates and their support gave me a huge boast. Over the last couple of months however, I have gathered about five more followers- all of which have been complete strangers who thought I was worth following. You have no idea how honored I am.

As a thank you, I am doing this giveaway contest. Since I haven't published anything just yet, I will be giving away two of my favorite books. The authors have even been kind enough to personalize the copies for the winners.

The first book is The Cowboy and The Vampire by Clark Hays and Kathleen McFall. This is a fantastic romantic mystery filled with humor and adventure. It is by far one of my favorite adult vampire novel. What kept me reading this fun ride was Tucker, the cowboy. I'm not much of a Western fan, but OMG I could spend a day with Tucker any time. Currently, Clark and Kathleen are working on a sequel and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

The second book is Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey. This is my favorite young adult vampire novel. I found this book at the library when I searched for Romanian Vampire novels a couple of years ago and wanted to know what had already been written. Never in a million years did I expect to read it cover to cover in one setting. Nor did I expect to fall in love with Jessica as she discovered she was a Romanian vampire princess and Lucias, a vampire prince, trying to woo her. What I liked most about it is the romantic relationship Beth created between the two characters. It was very sweet, yet the element of danger gave the romance an edge. Jessica's Rules to the Dark Side, the sequel, will be coming out this fall. I posted the cover here.

So what do you have to do? Here are the rules.

  3. My favorite YA vampire novel would have to be Vampire Kisses by Ellen Screiber. The characters are teenagers personified. There is nothing unbelievable about their lives and except the fact of being riddled with Vampires. It has all the aspects I admire: Innocent first love and the nice tweak of teen sarcasm and humor. Never have I enjoyed a sad vampire novel so these aspects are key to my liking. I already have Jessica's Guide but a signed copy would make a great treasure.

  4. My favorite young adult book series would have to be Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine because she created characters and a world that you want to submerge yourself in and you develop feelings for the characters and want them to be triumpant and my favorite adult vampire book is the Traveling Vampire Show by Richard Laymon because it is so scary and at times you want to put it down but you cant because its so intriguing. I am interested in winning Jessicas Guide to Dating on the Dark Side. I love beth fantaskeys writing utterly amazing.

  5. My favorite vampire young adult novel series would have to be Vampire Academy. I started reading this series after I read several different vampire books and found it was the best. It has a kick-butt female characters and great plots. I think the society that Richelle has made is really awesome. To this day I still love Vampire Academy and I am really sad that the series is now over.

I am interested in Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side. She is totally awesome too!!

  7. My favorite vampire novel is Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy. Who wouldn't like a book that has tough characters lusting after each other in a taboo situation. A book where the two of the main characters are bonded through a supernatural power. Where a whole world is created for you in the first few chapters. It is an amazing series of books. I am interested in Jessica's Guide To Dating On The Dark Side. Thanks!

  11. My favorite YA vampire novel is Jessica's Guide. I have read the book and loved it so much that i just had to get it. The way Beth Fantaskey describes Lucius is amazing. I tried to put the book down because I didn't want the book to be over yet was so hard. I have read the book ten times since reading it the first time. I would love to receive a signed copy of Jessica's guide. It would defiantly be a treasure to have and to have my daughter have a copy to read when she gets older.

  12. My favorite adult vampire novel is hmmm... there are so many. I will say Dark Lover by JR Ward. It is the first in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I loved the story. It sets you up for what the series will be but it is still different then all the others. I love Beth and Wraith's love story. It's a great story. I've read it so much that the cover is separating from the spine of the book :)
If i win I would choose The Cowboy and the Vampire. Thanks for the giveaway
